Highway Ramp

The image shows a perspective rendering of a highway ramp. The image color is generated by a process called IHS (intensity-hue-saturation) coding where elevation determines color (hue) and brightness (intensity) is derived from surface reflectance. With imaging laser altimeters surface reflectance can be derived directly from return signal energy.

The section displayed covers an area of 150 x 150 m. The highway lanes can clearly be identified as dark lines.
